A little pop is nothing compared to what SO's brother does to his 2 yr old

Thank you, yes my husband helps when he gets home from work but he wont be home till 6pm. Usually she takes a nap every single day at 2 but today its not happening so we're having lots of great fun. Hopefully I get a break to myself before the next one is here. Hopefully I'm not such a grump when the next one is here

My son is like that everyday!! I was actually going to post a topic asking if it was normal that he doesnt listen to a single word I say, EVER. It drives me crazy but I guess it's normal.

Oh wow, I'm not gonna whoop her ha ha I just feel like doing it and I've never wanted to hit her before so I feel bad. I didn't know that was legal though to hit your kids. Not that I'm exactly up for doing that anyways

Yeah my 5 yr old is still a pain in the ass. Lol. But he has behavioral issues. I think my daughter is actually gonna be a good 3 yr old. I mean she is very bull headed but she's a good kid.

I put her in her room and shut the door. Usually she cries for about 2 minutes and then says I'm sorry mamma and then I feel like the biggest jerk ever because she is so dang cute but annoys the hell out of me right now.

I just don't believe in striking any person for any reason ever (I guess other than self defense.)

But I wouldn't smack my boss for doing something I didn't like, I wouldn't smack my husband for doing something wrong, so why would I strike someone who is 1/6th my size?

That's normal. It really is. For my daughter, I set her on the steps. Not really for any amount of time, just until she stops crying. She usually just says sorry and goes on her merry way.

.. oh are we not suppose to hit our husbands when they screw up? Caaause if so I've been doing it wrong.

My daughter was thankfully very well behaved during her toddler years. However there was a week or two where she was being psychotic. Like threw a fit and when I picked her up, hit me in the face multiple times. When we got home I sat her down and explained what she did was wrong, and that she needed to learn a lesson. So she did get a small whack on the bum through her diaper, but she didn't cry and she straightened up. But that's just what worked for us.

Some people just react to different types of discipline differently, each parent needs to find the best one that works for them and their kids. My daughter use to burst into tears when I told her I was disappointed in her, I never had to spank her for real LOL But that won't work on every kid. Some kids learn from time outs, others don't at all. Others need a stronger hand like spankings which sucks but if that is what works, and if you don't misuse it or do it too roughly, it is sometimes a necessary evil for some kids/families.

So funny! DD was an amazing 2 year old, fantastic 3 year old. She is going to be 4 1/2 soon and I have NO idea where this attitude is coming from now. She definately has a mind of her own now.

When Abigale is really really naughty I tell everyone that she gets it from her daddy. She is usually so good and not mouthy or anything except lately she's been really bad telling me what to do and locking me out of her room and stuff. Soon I'm gonna take the door off of her room I think which is sad cuz she is only 2

I feel the same she will be 3 on christmas eve. I'm a single mom and I'm 38wks 2days pregnant and I'm due nov 25tth. my 21st bithday is on thanksgiving. i get overwhelmed with her sense she was 2.and potty traningiaint making smurf no better. ugh. wish her dad would get hrr sometimes
