Drinking around children

I was just going through the fridge and saw an ice cold woodchuck. YUM

So I opened it and took a sip

Got me thinking. Do you drink around your kids? Do you think it is bad to drink while they are awake?

Obviously not getting drunk, but just a beer or something?

I would around my kids, I wouldnt get drunk tot he point I couldnt care for them. But i would never do it around anyone else kids.

I might usually have a beer but if I do then DH won't and vice versa. We don't want to both be drinking if something happens to DD and she needs to go to the hospital or something. We don't get drunk in front of her and she knows not to touch them because they are adult drinks.

Ehhh I drink wine around DD. I save harder stuff for when she goes to bed anyhow. I see no issue with it.

I don't think it's bad. I do it. But I do save getting drunk until DD is asleep

I'll drink a beer or two max while LO is awake, but I'm not a big drinker anyway. SO doesn't see a problem with it, but again, not really a big drinker.

Yes, I do. I think it is fine as long as you are not getting drunk... as with everything, moderation. Obviously, if the only thing your kid ever sees you drinking is alcohol, that's probably not great.

I've had a drink or two around DD. I wouldn't get tanked in front of her tho

I don't ever get drunk around him, but I might drink a Bloody Mary or margarita. He doesn't usually know I'm drinking anything alcoholic anyway, unless he asks for a drink and I tell him when I tell him no. As long as you're not driving or getting drunk to where you can't take care of your children, I don't think one or two is a big deal

No as long as your not getting wasted. I rarely drink. But if I do its only one glass of wine.,Miscato. Our family drinks a lot of wine. But no one gets wasted off it. We just drink to relax more or less I guess. IDK I drink like once every six months or so only one drink as well.

We drink around our Son. Hard liquor is never drank in the same house with him or while he's awake but beer or wine is. Obviously we do not get drunk or give a bad example. I refuse to be drunk around my Son or while he's awake.

I do...I dont by any means get drunk around my kid. And not very often either, either a bottle of smernoff or glass of champange (raseberry kind yummy)

The most I drink when DS is awake is 2 beers

I pour whatever I'm drinking into a wine glass. I say they're "mommy's special cups" so she stays away from them. I'll have a glass of wine, or pour a beer into the cup, but DH won't. One of us needs to be 100% sober in case of an emergency.

We only drink at cookouts and parties lol. But there is always somebody who is completely sober. And we usually don't get smurf faces.
