Eggs

posted 12th Nov
I've got a dozen eggs that have a sell by date of 11/08/12, it's 11/12/12. Are they still good? I plan to hard boil them if so. What are some good recipes for hard-boiled eggs? I plan to make some deviled eggs and egg salad. Anything else? TIA

I wouldn't just because I'm paranoid when it comes to expiration dates on eggs and milk.

I am pretty sure they are good for like a week after the sell by date.

I would still eat them. The sell by date is when the store can no longer sell them. They are still good. We eat them after the sell by date all the time.

It's not an expiration date, its a sell by date. But if you have some doubts, then put the eggs in a bowl of water. If they float, they are no good. If they sink, then they are fresh and good to use.

I read they're good for a week so I wasnt sure. They look fine and our fridge is very cold.

Yeah just as long as there is enough water to where they are submerged and able to tell if they are floating or not.
