Well, they think that schizophrenia is linked with some kind of virus, flu if I remember correctly, that is contracted by the mother during pregnancy.

Yeah, I heard the schizophrenia thing several years ago. There must be some way they think the virus interferes with brain development.

Wow that's so crazy! I've been debating on wether or not to get the flu shot. I've never gotten it before but now I'm not sure if I should or shouldn't

The link could be attributed to other things... like drugs used to treat the virus or something totally unrelated. Generally studies like these are only looking at correlational links, not causal ones. I wonder where they got their population sample?

I have no idea they news only covered it for not even a minute, they didn't even go into depth as to why they think that.
