Advice!

posted 12th Nov
I watch a new friends 3 year old son when she and her husband have class or have to work. It used to be a few hours here and there...which was fine. I also watch a 5 month old and another 3 year old (a few hours a day) PLUS my 2 kids, 4 and 6. The problem is my husband and I(my hubby mostly  ) think it's just too much now that my friends husband is working days now so I have her son 8-9 hours a day at least 3 days a week at $3 an hour. My husband is slowly going insane and it's making us fight. So, not sure how to tell my friend that 8-9 hours a day is just too much. She said she feels bad but doesn't do anything to change it. Example--Wednesday morning I'm supposed to watch her son while she goes to class at 10 then works til 7. MY son has a parent visitation that morning from 930-1030. I told her about this and she said shes sorry and feels bad. You'd think she'd skip class one day or something. What should I say to her????????? Help.

Expecting her to skip class for you is kinda ridiculous. If you cant watch her kid anymore then just straight up tell her

If you can't watch her kid then tell her so. I don't understand why this kid is causing you guys to fight but the other 2 kids you watch aren't.

Tell her it's not working out.

A.) It is the truth.
B.) It's crazy for you to be used like that. This her her problem to solve (childcare) not yours.

It's not worth going nuts over, good luck delivering the news!

The other kids are here a couple hours a day. When her child is here its 9 hours and my husband and I both work. When the child is here 9 hours, we can't go anywhere or do anything.

Its not ridiculous. I have something to do with my son. My son comes first.

Then tell her you are busy and can't watch him. She will make other plans so she can still go to class and you can do your thing.
