How many bottles?

posted 12th Nov
Gonna try and keep this short. Running to the store later to finish up getting some things I didn't receive/or get enough of, in my opinon, at the baby shower. How many bottles did you/do you have for your LO, and what sizes? 3oz, 5oz, etc. I just feel like I won't enough.
*No smart remarks needed, please and thank you.

I only had like three 4oz and three 8oz. Any more than that - I would totally just keep filling new ones and not washing the old ones =P

Just me though.

I had a ton and used probably three or four. LO would only take a certain kind (nuk) so the others were useless. It's really trial and error.

I had 4 5oz bottles and 8 10oz bottles.

Well I had way more but I only used that many. lol And at 9 months old now and drinking 5 10oz bottles a day, I only use 5 bottles, but keep 2 extra on me when I go out just in case.

Thank you so much everyone! (: That helps a lot. I now know what I will be purchasing later tonight. Does the brand of bottle really matter?

I only had 3 when he was first born. Trial and error to see which ones he liked. Once I figured that out now I have 4 of the 5oz bottles that I don't really use anymore. And 8 9oz bottles.

It matters if your baby is picky like mine was and REFUSED to drink out of any other type of bottle. I think it was the type of nipple that she liked.

Yes. My son refused every single bottle I tried except the cheap parent choice brand lol.

i bought glass bottles, so I bought 2 4 oz bottles and 2 8 oz bottles. Thats all I really needed. Because my son began drinking 8 oz at the age of 2 months (yeah he was a cow...lol), I would just use the 4 oz bottles for water and the 8 oz ones for milk. they broke eventually by the tome he was about a year and a half...so now we just use 1 stainless steel bottle with a sippy cup spout...for me it was ridiculous to buy too many bottles...when I had 4 when he was just born, because he was on a 4 hour routine really quickly (same with my daughter), I would only have to wash them all twice a day...I'd wash only 2 after his 10 PM feeding, he'd wake up @ 2, drink, then @ 6, drink, and then next h'd drink @ 10, and then after is 2 PM feeding, I'd wash all the bottles...by his 10 PM feeding I'd still have 2 clean bottles, thats why i only washed 2 after 10 PM. I was lucky with both of my kids (hopefully this time as well), that they stopped waking up after 2 months, so those 2 nighttime feedings never happend, and so then I was able to live off even two bottles.

I think that brand matters only if your baby is really colicy...some babies will even take a $1 bottle fine, some might not.

Now I know many of u will start saying "we needed lots of bottles bc of this and that"...maybe u did, but I honestly never needed more than 4 bottles...and this time I'm skipping the 4 oz and getting straight 11oz stainless steel bottles, bc theb4 or 5 oz bottles barely last...atleast for me...
