Trying for another baby.....

I have come to realize that I am apparently one in a million at least where I live for waiting so long to have a second child! But at least I had a very good reason for waiting so long. I was 16 when I had my daughter. Normal teen story he left so I was also waiting for the right person to come along and HE DID! I have been on various types of birth control over the last 5 years from the depo shot to pill and back to the depo. I came off the depo shot in september (after 11 month) and we were married in October. After a lot of online research (scary) some women may become pregnant (after a year of the depo shot) anywhere from 6 months to a year after coming off that particular type of birth control. We were hoping to be pregnant before Kerra is 6 and that is in August. I guess I am just a little nervous about the horrible things I have read about that shot and it makes me wish I had never had it to begin with. I am waiting to hear a better report I guess but either way we are still trying.

good luck i got pregnant on the depo shot

I hate Depo! I was on Depo for around 4 years and gained like 85 lbs!!! I went off it for several years after i married DH and used the pull out and pray method. Then decided to try a birth control pill Yasmin and was on that for around a year or two then went off it in beginning of December and was pregnant with my first Mid of Feb.

I had another friend who couldn't get pg after the shot took two months of birth control pills and was pregnant as soon as she came off. I know when you want to be pregnant birth control is the last thing you want to do, but it may help regulate you. Schedule an apt with your OB and see what they reccomend

I had a normal period last month and so far this month.   so that gives me some hope. Now I have heard for people getting pregnant on the depo shot in fact we had a whole string of it a few years back. I don't understand why at the health department they DO NOT explain the risks such as infertility! If I had known this before I would have never even got back on birth control in october of last year! I need to see my ob anyways just to ask a few question for my own personal health. I had a cone biopsy and I am curious about any damage it may have done to my cervix and what risk could there be if I become pregnant.

Ok so I may have lied a little about having a normal period this month! My last period was the 16 of October and it is now the 16th of November well pretty much anyways... I haven't started yet! That makes my period three days late. I took a dollar store hpt the day after my missed period and it was pretty much negative. I took another one this morning (same type of test) that was very faint but was there enough for me to get a picture of it with my camera on my phone for a second opinion from my mom lol. She and I both agreed on two lines but one MUCH brighter than the other. I am nervously waiting for morning so that I can take an E.P.T. hpt that I bought this evening. So fingers are crossed and I am humming a tune.
