If you extended rear faced, when did you turn your child around?

My son is 2.5 now, not sure when I will turn him. I was going to wait until the weight limit on his seat which is 40 lbs but he has been sitting at 30 for over a year. Maybe 3 if he hasn't hit 40 lbs yet

My daughter is also 2.5 she probably won't hit the weight limits until she's like 5 ha

Lol that might be intensely long my son just turned 5 yesterday and only weighs 38 pounds.

We turned her last month. So.. 34 months?

We turned him around at 1.5, our choice and his 5 different pedi's suggested it.

A friend of mine still has her 3.5 y/o backwards though, but she isn't trying to ERF for any reason other than she doesn't feel like unhooking the seat to turn it aound.

Its sad Dr's used to give out such bad info that conflicted with the AAP. My Dr tried that crap with me.

Christopher was flipped at 2.5yrs old and it was not by choice, but our AC broke in the old car and he was super hot so we flipped him. We have a better car now, but he refuses to let us flip him back around. I do believe he's getting too tall as well, but he could prob RF for a few more months if we really wanted. My goal was 2yrs so I feel good about it.

True heck my daughter is 16 pounds at 16 months old. I just feel safer with her rear facing. So if she isn't 45 pounds by the time she starts kindergarten then I will switch her. Against my wishes

Mine's 2.5 and 42 inches tall. Lol
