I honestly can't see it working well. Are these states self sufficient? Can they function without any outside trade? No states or countries will trade with them if they succeed.

I'd be scared it Texas actually decided to secede. I think it is actually a possibility for Texas because it was part of the agreement that Texas made with the government when they joined the U.S.. I don't know if I'd want to live here anymore, and I've lived her all my life.

Im not really sure the steps, but since it is a government site, i would think a petition is the first step of however many. And it seems Texas will reach its goal within a few days.

It freaks me out to be honest. I hope it would just serve as a reality check and not actually end in war or secession but I don't think the government does reality checks.
I'll just be over here with my head in the sand.

Its not just a president, its the house, its the government as a whole.

I wouldnt think an online petition (such as one that would circle around on FB or something  ) would hold much weight. I think it would have to be something a little more official. Like a state vote or something.
