Mirena

Okay, so i made my appt to get the mirena inserted on thursday. Now, im starting to have questions. How long can i not have sex after this is placed? What kind of side effects will i have? have you had? any input will be great.

You can have sex immediately after you get it put in. I haven't had any side effects and the closest thing I've had to a period is some brown ish red mucus once a month. Not even enough to really mess up my undies or needs liner or anything for

We had sex within 24 hours.
My only side effect was no AF the entire time I had it in

I loved it, but many people hate it

7 days if you're not on your period. immediately if you are.

Okay so everyone else is saying they loved it so I had to put in my two cents of hating it... I had it put in n thought everything was gonna b great, Dr told me no AF so I thought yea this should b awesome right? Wrong! I felt the thing in there te whole time i had it in, it was like a crampy weird feeling of exactly where it was placed. I had a full blown period every month. My DH could feel it while we were intimate, and i couldn't take it! I only had mine in for 6 months and then removed, the Dr assured me it was in place I should b feeling anything but i was! Not to scare u or anything, a lot of women love the thing but maybe my body wasnt one to take to it!!

I waited a week. The first year I had my mirena it was great. I didn't bleed, but I always had pregnancy symptoms and my sex drive decreased significantly.

The next year was hell because it embedded in my uterus.

I hated it. I bled six months non stop, it hurt, killed my sex drive. It was miserable but mine might have been placed wrong cause it fell out thank god

I had pregnancy symptoms every month and gained 30 lbs. hate hate hate hate hate.

I hated mine, made me hallucinate, become bi-polar and gave me unrelenting, excruciating back pain.
