Me either (: personally being a mom at such a young age helped me handle a lot of stuff. Granted I didn't handle some stuff well but that just goes along with being a teenager lol. I suffer from depression and my first pretty much saved my life so I'm not sure where I would be without him...

This.

Even the difference of a few years is massive. At 18, I had just graduated high school and was working a minimum wage job. At 21, I have a 401k, some years of college creds and a job that w/differential, I make about 15/hr. But that still isn't enough to support a kid where I'm at.

Age does matter, but some people like to fool themselves into thinking otherwise.

No offense, but I've suffered from depression and worst, and having a baby does NOT solve problems. In fact, it creates them.

I had a lot bigger problems than raising a baby. It has created some problems but for the most part he saved me. I wouldn't do anything stupid because I want to watch him grow and not make him be stuck with his stupid dad for the rest of his life.

There's also a difference between being a new mom at 19, and being a mom of two 5 year old's at 19.

People who see that aren't going to know I'm NOT 16 and judge me the same.

FFS, went to the midwife's office and the nurse asked if my husband was my dad because I didn't look old enough and she thought I was a kid.

The way I see it, people will judge whether you're 16 or 35 so smurf them! I meant it more as in it's better to look 16 but be older and have better resources than a 16 year old would have for a child than actually be 16 and struggle.

I dont let it bother me. If you look at my profile, you'll see why *I* get judged as a mother even though I'm in my mid 30's. I know I put my kids first and do what I have to do and sacrifice everything to make sure they are happy. Others may not know that, but meh... what can I do, except keep being a great mom.

Society with always critisize young mothers.. That I don't know why.
A lot of younger mother's are better parents than older ones.
Just keep doing what you're doing, and ignore the haters.

People stare at me just being pregnant, and i'm 20 years old.. But look 17 lol.

I'm not judging anyone. I personally was a teen mother myself therefore I know how hard it is so I try to encourage young girls to practice safe sex or no sex at all. I'm glad that you're able to look past people's ignorance and go on living your life as the wonderful mother you are. I am the same way, I could give two smurfs about what people have to say (excuse my language). I know I am a great mother because my daughter shows it every day so whatever people have to say amuses me. I laugh it off and continue on with my life. If you're not paying my bills, feeding me or smurfing me your opinion does not matter lol.
