35 weeks and 6 days-in labor

Went to the hospital at 1, back labor and contractions 10-20 minutes apart. Was sent home because I wasn't dilating fast enough and they won't stop my labor. DD was born at 34 weeks. Terrified of having another preemie. The baby is in -2, I was dilated 1 1/2 cm and effaced 70%. I'm having bad back labor. Any comments? Suggestions?

I had the back labor for five days before they broke my waters, contractions every 5-10 for a minute each time.. I know how much it sucks. Especially because you're 35w   I hope labor stops for you and you can keep LO in for as long as possible. I found getting on my hands and knees and rocking and a heating pad helped with the contractions, but not much. I'm hoping things get better for you soon.

I'm in the same boat as you. I've been having bad back contractions every 10-15 minutes for the past few days, I went to the L&D triage and they didn't want to do anything because I wasn't dilating fast enough. I'm dilated to 1 1/2 cm and 50% effaced. They sent me home. I've noticed that it actually feels better to walk around a little bit more. I also have jets in my bath tub, so a lukewarm bath with the jets on helped big time. Other than that, I would suggest stretching and getting the hubby to give you plenty of back massages.  

Good luck ladies. I have had two healthy 36 weekers. Tate was 36+2, weighed 6 lbs 1 oz, and went home with me after 24 hrs. Bo was 36+3, weighed 5lbs 3 oz, and went home after 36 hrs. She had a tiny bit of jaundice but got to room with me the whole time!
