He makes $1300 a week and I make $700 a week

That's pretty average over here lol... Our cost of living is much higher

ETA- we both workfor the biggest transport & logistics company on Australia.. So that helps haha, I'm just in an office job, but he does the hard work being a warehouse dude

That's a good living.

I think what you purposed is very reasonable.
You don't want to force yourself into having another child when your not ready. You could end up resenting him, and the child....
I can understand him waiting to have another child with you.

What would happen if you couldn't conceive a child together because of your fertility issues, would that be a deal breaker for him?

Like the OP said, take all your living expenses and pretty much double it.
For a family of 4, they will be comfortable but not enough to take huge family holidays etc..

ok dont bash me for this- i have two gorgeous babies! theyre exactly twelve months apart lol ages 3 and 2 as of sept! and i have baby fever like crazy! hahaha i know we need to wait-so much we have to get settled before bringing another baby into this world...i wish he was begging for a baby lol jealous! but! with what ive read- and as a mommy that had two back to back...i know exactly how you feel! it is starting all over again and had my son not been an accidental blessing i doubt id have another child any time soon. if you know for sure you dont want more-its not fair to him. if you can consider having another(which is going to be extremely hard for you,as it was for me) then talk to him again and tell him what you've told us. i will say that my first pregnancy with my daughter was a dream!! my son...a living hellacious nightmare! every pregnancy is different   i hope you can both come to some agreement. you seem to have a good head on your shoulders

Honetly i wouldnt consider it, u guys havent been together for that long yet and a baby is a huge thing. Enjoy just being together. I wouldnt even be buying a house with him yet

Baby bonus has been cut down now. $5000 for first baby, $3000 for every other baby. Which is bullsmurf, $3000 wont even cover my medical bills for this baby

SO and I make between $7000 - $10,000 a month depending on overtime and bonuses and we just work as IT techs in a call centre .... wages are different here.

Also you're only young still ... I would tell him exactly how you feel but not discount the idea entirely for a few more years yet.
