If you want to breastfeed and for some reson you need to give formula you can use a system that is a tube you tape to your nipple so the baby feels like they are breastfeeding! They can not get nipple confusion

We tried that way back when but for some reason it didn't work well   Hoping I'll have much better luck this go round! But better to be prepared just in case

I didn't want to spend money on somthing I did not want to use, but the hospital tried to make me use formula so they gave me a botle and that supplmental thing. They gave me one called Avent and we have used it a few times this past year and never had an issue with it. My baby seamed very fussy and gassy and in pain after the formula so I fought them and said that they could not ever put that in my baby agian. They said he was loosing too much weight so I HAD to use formula. After My LO got SO fussy from it I refused! I could not deal with how he reacted to formula.

I am guessing he is extra sensitive in the tummy, he still is sensitive.

Did they test him for a gluten or dairy allergy?
My nephew was having similar problems, turns out he was allergic to BOTH! Made my sisters life hell but after a year of her following a very strict diet he gained all the weight he was missing and grew out of the allergy thankfully.

I used Playtex VentAire Bottles with my daughter 12 years ago! I liked them, just wasen't sure if they had made any advancements in the bottle dept since then heehee

I still recommend the dr brown bottles
I've never had a problem with at all since I've first gotten them and if your baby was sensitive in the stomach you shouldve used similac sensitive (orange can)
I had to switch my daughter from the similac advance(blue can) to the similac sensitive cuz I'm guessing the formula aka milk was too hard on her stomach

The only issue with doctor browns when it comes to breastfeeding is nipple confusion. The nipple is to narrow and does not resemble a nipple. :[
They are great for reducing colic and stuff though. I used them a few times but they made my sons latch worse so I switched to breastflow and loved em :]

Someone said they have about 5 pieces to them, and I perpetually lose things. I am worried that may go badly lol

Has anyone tried these yet?

It LOOKS promising but who knows lol Honestly, none of the bottle nipples I have seen look like my puny nipples so the baby is in trouble in general lol

These are the nipples on breastflow bottles. See how it has a clear nipple and then a blue one inside? It is so it takes the baby longer to get the milk out. So when you latch them to you, they don't get antsy and irritated due to your flow being slower. Also, it forces them to open extremely wide to they don't pinch you. The tip is much smaller like a womans nips which is also a plus. These are the ones I was talking about :] Not sure if you had a chance to look them up but they really did help my son with his latching issues.

I don't know if I could buy a bottle that is being sold by a formula company if you plan on breastfeeding. They are all about profit. D:
Just something to be wary of.

Oh and the breastflow bottles only have three pieces. The nipple, second nipple and base.

Did yours leak when you sat them right side up again? I am reading that was a problem for a lot of people with them.

They did a little bit but it wasn't that bad. It was well worth it compared to other bottles. I mean, I am ok with a little leaking over nipple confusion/latching issues :]
Plus, they only did that sometimes. Many of the ones I had did not. Idk, try it and see how you feel. They are pretty cheap as well which is a plus

yeh I'm wondering if I could just fashion a holder for it so I can set it "down" hanging upside down so I won't have to turn it the other way lol
