Paint advice.

So I got the nursery painted the other day. The colors didn't end up being what I wanted. Oh and the trim between the 2 is supposed to be white, but they didn't listen to me   What colors do you think would look good? I'm really bad at imagining how paint and things will look before hand lol Excuse the paint on the windows lol We cleaned it off lol TIA.

i dont like it maybe if there was some wallpaper boarder up above the trim maybe?

Wow that is very pink. It looks like a bottle of pepto puked all over your walls. If I where you I would go with a softer color not something so bright or so pink.

I don't like it either, that's why I was asking for some advice on how to fix it lol. I'm thinking I might just go with completely different colors  

I actually don't think it looks bad. I agree with the border idea. And also soft soft lighting in that room... No extremely bright lights. There's a window in there so get some lightbulbs with low wattage (?) lol

I know! It was supposed to be a softer pink. Not so bright. But when I got it home and it dried it looked completely different   I was so mad.

Yeah, in my experience paint typically dries darker. The trim should definitely be white. How handy are you guys? Cause I think white wainscotting would look cute.

And I know it's a kids room and it's logical to use a semi-gloss type paint but maybe you could go with something more matte?

Yeah this is kinda what I was going for, but it didn't turn out like I thought lol. I was thinking about maybe replacing one of the pinks with a different color to match? Like a green or brown or something to calm the pinkness down lol. What do you think?

I like both of the colors, but not together. I agree a border would look nicer with it.

My daughter had a pink room. the top half was pink, then there was a white border in the middle of the wall and then below that we painted coloured blocks/stripes with mint greens and different shades of pink. I'll try to find a pic, she liked it a lot though

Honestly if it where me I would have gone with a pale yellow paired with like a light lavender but then again I cant stand the color pink at all. Maybe try going with coordinating colors? And as someone already mentioned paint normally dries a bit darker then you think it will be so if you do decide to go with another color try going with something a bit lighter then what you want.

Okay I was way off! It was green on top but it would work with pink too LOL

They also have these luster and metallics that you put over your choice of color to get difference effects, maybe if they have a sateen finish it would lessen the severity of the color?

Excuse the mess, this was my daughters sleepover birthday party from 2 years ago and I had over 12 girls over and was on my own so I just let them trash the bedroom to keep my sanity lo

its a pretty vivid pink in person we just calm it down by using lots of green furni and i put one of her quilts on the wall.
