Kids in the family you don't like

Do you have any kids in your family that you don't like?

If so, how do you deal with it? I feel bad, but my gosh, it's SO hard to like my niece. The things she does and says... it's just smurfing HARD to like her.


  And I feel horrible, because I used to adore her and my nephew!

I don't like my SIL's son. He has been such a horrible smurf since I met him when he was two. He's now six and has only gotten worse. I just try to stay away from him.  

I wouldn't say I don't like them, but I have a few little cousins i wouldn't mind smacking around for a while. And a nephew who when his parents or grandma is around act like the devil. Alone he's almost an angel. I just clench my teeth and try to ignore it

Yes there are a lot of kids in my family I don't like. I just try not to go near them. That and I just suck it up cause they are little.

We just avoid those kids. If it's unavoidable, like holidays, then I watch them like a hawk and let them know when they are doing something inappropriate. God forbid their parents actually parent...

Yep. And he used to be my favorite.

My cousin. He's 10, and he's a bully. He likes to try and boss everyone else around and manipulate people.

We just avoid him, honestly.

I don't like some of my nieces and nephews  

I love them, but I don't like them. They can be really sweet, but most of the time they act like spoild little brats. And they remind me of their parents, who I don't like either lol.

am laughing my butt off at this!!! ...my family is tiny..there is no kids but mine and my nephew who is 16. Kid you not. ..but hey I avoided a friend for years cause her daughter who was hell!! She is 16 and sweet now..Anyways some of you ladies me made maugh

And OP, my niece. She turned into a HUGE brat since she hit 10, and i don't like how she acts or dresses. Its mostly her smartass mouth that gets me.

I have several relatives who annoy me, but we don't see them too often so it's whatever. We see a lot of DH's family and there's two kids I absolutely cannot stand. I feel really awful because they're just kids, but they drive me nuts and make my life so much more difficult. One is 10 and he's completely off the wall. He isn't malicious, he's actually just always trying to be helpful and likes to argue when you tell him no. Like, when DS was five months, MIL was holding him and this kid came up and tried to fight her off so he could feed DS a blueberry. Another is three and only just older than DS. I feel really bad not wanting to be around him especially since he's so little, but he's a giant bully and his parents don't do smurf about it. He's slammed DS's head into a door and all his mother did was tell him to stop being an smurf.  
We avoid them when possible but otherwise our only option is to never let DS out of our sight at all.

Seriously.... my niece can just be horrible.

She is asking my Mom what my Mom will buy her if she lasts at camp. She has NEVER spent the night away from my sister (she can't handle it) and so she said "Well if I make it the whole week what will you buy me?" Seriously, I'd be PISSED and would ground Lily if she said that.

She's looking up sex stuff on her phone. She showed Lily a dating website. A SmUrfING DATING WEBSITE.... my niece is 11!

She lies. All the time. She's mean to people. I have a tracker on her phone and she's been harassing this little girl. The little girl doesnt like my niece at all.

She is mean to Lily and tells her "You are really small and smell" when my daughter has encopresis, and is small. But who cares?!?! One day I smurfing snapped at her tormenting Lily and her looks and I said "Kaitlyn, what if I called you 4-eyes, called you fat, said you had yucky hair? Huh. would you like that!?!?" And she started crying and said "Well dont say that, I cant help how I look!" Oh, but you can make fun of my child?!?

She calls my nephews friends hot and wants to go out with them, and harasses them. Oh, the other day she was harassing her friend then said "Your brother is hot. Ask him out for me." I laughed when the girl texted back "Dude, you've never seen my brother he doesnt go to our school. How would you know if hes hot?"

She has stolen stuff from our house. I lent her a camera that I KNOW was working. She texted me saying "The camera doesn't work, what do I do? Want me to just throw it away and get rid of it??" I said no way! Don't throw it away... that makes me think SHE broke it, or it IS working and she wants to keep it.

It is hard to be close to someone that steals, torments your kid, and is just BAD. And really... she is bad!

My Mom was originally paying for a phone for my niece and nephew. My nephew is almost 14. We agreed to get him a phone since he is in a lot of activities and couldn't get in touch with us. BUT we had him agree to share it with my niece if she was going on. Well she wanted her own, my nephew didnt like my niece texting and calling all his friends, so my sister got my niece a phone.

And she abuses the privileges of a phone. But I am going to be getting my 9 year old a phone, I have reasons for it that are valid. My nephew has valid reasons. My niece though... she abuses the privileges so she doesnt need a phone right now. It sucks she cant be trusted!!!

But I mean really.... shes harassing these girls on her phone. They dont like her and dont like how kaitlyn is a bully and picks on others to make them feel good, so this one girl told her to not call her and leave her alone and my niece wont listen. I'm all "Seriously, shes going to get in trouble with the cops because she has no self control."


Even worse, with how boy crazy she is shes going to get in trouble with a boy. And that scares me. I literally almost lost it when I found out she showed Lily a dating site. Lily didnt know what it was, or rather that it was bad, so she didnt tell us. But I said "Lily, you need to tell us in case Kaitlyn is meeting up with bad people." I DO worry that shes going to give her information out to a predator and get hurt!
