gluten free sweets

posted 11th Nov
This year for Christmas we don't have a lot of cash so I'm making Christmas care packages full of silly Christmas themed treats. I have a HUGE list of fun tasty things for all of our extended family except my MIL. She only eats gluten free food and I'm not finding a ton of things I can makeover as Christmas yummies. Does anyone have a good site with gluten free sweets? I need them to keep at room temp for a few days and extra points for ideas on making them super cheesy Christmas themed, LOL For my other packages I'm making reindeer poop cookies which are just unicorn poop cookies in red, green and white, elf doughnuts(cherrios dipped in chocolate or powdered sugar), hot chocolate mix, homemade flavored marshmallows, stuff like that. I'm looking on pinterest but I was wondering if anyone had a good site with a lot of recipes.

Buy gluten free cheerios   They sell those lol. Powdered sugar is gluten free. Hot chocolate is typically gluten free as well as marshmallows. Make brownies, most basic recipes are gluten free. You could do snowflake shaped brownies covered in powdered sugar to replace the cookies like you were making for the others

Thanks! She's so hard to cook for because she's anti sugar most of the time too but I'm hoping she'll make an exception for a few holiday treats. I found a tasty looking fudge recipe I'm thinking of trying but brownies are a great idea too!

No, but fruity pebbles are   Rice Crispie brand actually had a gluten free version out but it didn't do very well. However, SOME store brand versions are, you just have to read the ingredients list very carefully. THe cheap stuff from Aldi's I believe is one that is.

Oh man, I couldn't go gluten free AND sugar free, I'd die   I am trying to limit gluten as much as possible for my RA, plus my daughter's best friend has celiac so I try to limit what we have in the house that has gluten. It's soooo hard lol

Well, it's an easy assumption, since rice is gluten free by nature. It should be a no brainer that it would be gluten free. But, companies like to add unnecessary smurf sometimes lol

You don't even want to know what this woman lives off of. It's sad, LOL. Does this sound gross? Roasted chickpeas then tossed in a cinnamon sugar mix.

They have gluten free cookie mixes. Also you can get coconut palm sugar, which is low in the glycemic index.

Its a sweet and salty recipe I found but she doesn't like salty, LOL. It sounds horrifying to me but the reviews were good. I'm not sure how much the salty part adds to the flavor though, LOL
