what am I missing?!

posted 11th Nov
This is what I have in my diaper bag...
Butt cream
9 diapers
2 receiving blankets
2 burp cloths
2 wash cloths (my mom said I needed this... lol)
2 garbage bags for soild clothes.
Wipes
2 pairs of socks
2 outfits
2 binkies
Binky wipes
Hat
jacket
And a bib and toy

I have no clue why I have some of the stuff in there... but it seems the tight thing to do. Lol.

How useful are bibs at this age? My mom said they are good for spit/spit up?

I will be adding, tylenol for both me and baby. Lotion. Stomach/gas relief for both of us. Baby orjel and baby powder.

I think I have everything, but I just wanna be sure, I hate not being prepared for EVERYTHING!

Thanks!!

Bibs aren't useful really if you have burp cloths but they couldn't hurt either.

Most of this actually you don't need unless you mean hospital bag? In my diaper bag, I carry a couple changes of clothes for baby, diapers, wipes, changing blanket.

A lot of that stuff isn't even needed for a hospital bag either.

My sons diaper bag has wipes, diapers, change of clothes, tylenol, bottle, formula, pacifier, and burp cloth. (and the changing pad that came with the bag lol)

Oh gotcha. Probably as time goes on, you will ditch it a little at a time.

I did too. But eventually you just ditch everything because it takes up too much room lol. And I hate carrying around a diaper bag that feels like a ton of bricks.

Well not so much for hospital but anywhere else. You bub will finish drinking and your milk will still be squirting out so I used the towel to hold it over until I got the breast pad back on.

If its your hospital bag i would have enough clothes for each day u will be there plus some more. Plus singlets socks etc.

It's nice to have your baby in its own clothes.

Some hospitals won't let you. Mine wouldn't because they would have to undress the baby to do vitals every hour. It was better to just use the little shirt thing they put on him.

I'm in Australia so I guess it's different. Once they had a bath we had her in her own clothes.

Was LO premie? Why did they have to check vitals all the time?

No he wasn't a preemie he was actually overdue.
They checked both mine and his every hour. Normal procedure.
