No wet diaper?

posted 11th Nov
Peyton really hasn't had a wet diaper since around 3pm, it's now 9:30. He has had plenty to drink though... Should I be worried?

That's how my daughter started with a UTI. To be safe, I'd call her pedi, or just go in. That's abnormal--at least for MY daughter.

Well you could have one of two worries

#1. You will have a uber soggy diaper here in a bit and possibly more than the diaper can handle

OR

#2 a possible UTI. Babies don't get those "that easily" but some are more suseptable than others.

UTI's are usually accompanied with discomfort and sometimes a fever. I would look for signs of abnormality in behavior or a strain in urination. Hope it is nothing!

It was always that way with one of my girls. The girls are twins and my first. It was hard not to excpect eating and bathroom business to be the same. They were breastfed babies. Olivia was a regular child. She ate on a regular basis and her diapers were pretty consistant with movements and times. Tori, not so much. She litterally would hold her poop for 5-7 days. The Dr said it is pretty normal for a BF baby to not have a BM daily. Breast milk doesn't have a lot of "waste" to it like formula. Well, each time I would start to get worried that she was holding out too long, she would OVERFILL her diaper. I would have to change her and allow her to finish on a fresh diaper. It was crazy how much would come out at once. I swore she was going to loose 7 lbs each time she finally let it go! lol

Haha, poor kid. Peyton poops a lot so when he wasn't making any dirty diapers for that long I was like ok, what is going on?

The worst part is that she would give you a day or two warning it was coming. That child could fart and peel the paint off the neighbors walls! lol I don't know why I never figured out that I just needed to stick around the house on those days. lol NO, I would go shopping, go for a walk, take the kids to my moms ect...

Hahaha. Peyton hasn't had a blowout in so long. But he went to SIL's the other day for a few hours and had a huge blowout. Luckily SIL had another outfit at her house...
