forceps/stitches/infection

posted 11th Nov
hey i had my little boy 10 weeks gone Friday. i ended up having to have a forceps delivery and i had a episiotomy anyways afterwards around 2-3 weeks i went to doctors with stomach pains and told i had a pelvic infection (given antibiotics and sent away) then as my stitches healed i bucked up the courage to look (with a mirror of course lol) to notice i had what looked like a flap where they'd cut :/ anyways went to doctors and told i have an infection there took the dosage of antibiotics again still the same (i'm having a disgusting yellowy sticky discharge daily throughout out the day and having to wear panty liners 24/7... i then had my 8 week check up and was told the ''flap'' is over granulation and its infected .. given another course of antibiotics and a swab done and sent away took the tablets ... AND I've still got the god damn horrible discharge also the stomach aches - so the pelvic infection hasn't gone .. its getting me soooo down i still haven't had intercourse with my partner :/ obviously ... i'm ringing Monday for my swab test result but i'm just sick the ''flap'' keep bleeding each time i wee and i've to clean it constantly as there ''gunk'' yukkk any1 had this ? thank you in advance

Do they keep giving you the same antibiotic? I'd request something else, because it's obviously not working. I hope it clears up soon.

Does it get better at all during the course of treatment?
Do you take it the prescribed amount of times per day spaced out throughout the day?
Are you taking the entire bottle of prescribed antibiotics?

Go back to the doctor, sometimes infections can keep happening.

Oh I'm not blaming you or anything, lol, I just thought they usually preferred the vacuum extractor these days if they have to use anything.

Can't say I had this happen but it sounds awful. Hopefully the swab will tell them what kind of bacteria it is so they can prescribe a more effective antibiotic...Hope it gets better for you!
