re: Personal Experiences with Inducing Labor with Caster Oil?

I tried castor oil two times during my pregnancy and I will never do it again. All it did was get me excited about poop contractions until I couldn't hold it in anymore. Long story short…I drank a whole bottle both times (my mother's advice who used it successfully for three of her pregnancies), vomited it all up the first time and had massive diahrea(sp) the second try. It was very upsetting to go through the cramping, burning butt, and lack of sleep with no baby to show for it. I was very eager to meet baby but he wasn't having it and after trying the oil, having sex, walking, pressure points, nipple stimulation, cervadil, and pitocin he had to be c sectioned out. My vote is a big fat HELL NO for castor oil lol

I can't say I have had any personal experiences with it because I didn't think it was a good choice for me or my children.
