Sleeping with a pillow?

Just out of curiosity, at what age is it safe to allow a child to sleep with a pillow? I've seen plenty of posts lately about sleeping with blankets, but none about pillows...

LO started sleeping with a small travel pillow at 11months

Pretty sure I heard no pillows until 12 months.

LO had reflux and asthma, and also some pneumonia before 12 months, so her doctor said it was fine for her to use a pillow after 6 months. She had been using one for a month or two before though.
