Yeah, then some people sweet as can be, don't ask for much at all, leave more! Since it IS my job, I do not mind AT ALL to go get what my tables need, smile, clean up after their kids, or accomidate pickiness ( I'm picky as all get out). Just show me you appreciate it!

today I had a dude get water , chili and some wings.
10.65 bill.
gave me a 20 and told me to kepe the change.
SHOCKED me but made me happy.

I was stiffed once, and it wasnt even my fault they had a bad experience, we had a new cook on board, the food was coming out slow and he didnt enjoy his meal, he complained to me, the manager, and the owner, got a complimentary meal and got his drinks comp'd. I think he went out that night knowing he'd get a free meal and ruin someones night.

That's smurfed. I was at olive garden today and we left a $25 tip for a $107 tab. Wait staff deserve a good tip.

Thanks, it's good to be appreciated, and ya those random nice fat tips sure help on the days I wanna kill someone. I had a man the other day tell me 'put this in baby girl's piggy bank' and handed me a 20. That's just what I did.

We dont write anything on the cc slip after it's been signed and what not.
especially if you get a cash tip.

To take a picture and be a dick.The person probably didn't fill it in and the server or cashier decided he'd be "funny" and do it. I know what they do and don't do. I've been a server before. But someone could be immature and do such a thing.

Meh... I've been a server for 5 years.. I've worked in many restaurants.. nobody has ever written in something to be funny.. I just don't see that happening.

I've seen it happen. Even on comment cards. The server would fill in something stupid or make themselves look better or make someone else look bad. Not everyone is mature.

I agree with that. I hated when people wouldn't tip. I tip every time I go out to eat... Unless I'm at a buffet. Kinda see no point in that.
We went yesterday and the cashier asked if we wanted to put a tip on the card for the server... My question was "what server?" No one ever came to our table once.
