screaming help

posted 11th Nov
I have a 1 year old (turned 1 on thursday) living with me all but 1 day a week which she goes for her 6 hours to visit each parent and then back to me. She came from a very bad home with a badly autistic brother (their parents wouldn't get him any help so truthfully he acts crazier then any child every met, i feel awful!) but he screams non stop, since she's came here, she does it too (from being left in a crib all day listening to him doing it). Now my two kids have caught on to doing it from her since of course i run straight to her and try to calm her since i know she's from an abusive home.
How can i try to break all 3 of it? Exspecially with how much i need to be careful with the littlest one?

There isn't much you can do about the 1 year old. Hopefully she'll outgrow it, but I don't have much advice there. My 1 year old copies everything his older brothers' do and vice versa. In my experience, they copy whatever gets the most attention. My first thought when i read this was "ouch, i hope she has a good set of earplugs!". My boys growl. It started with my oldest and now my youngest randomly growls at people. It's sortof funny, but it's also loud and annoying.   I'll be watching this thread. I'm hoping you get some good tips!

It is a 1 year old, a 20 month old, and a 4 year old just constantly screaming and it is driving me to go to the nut hut! lol
Haha, i actually used to growl, when i first was married, i'd growl at DH to make him laugh so now my daughter does it! It's so funny you said that!

My boys are about the same ages. My oldest is 4.5, middle is 2.5, and youngest just turned 1. It started with ds1, but the growling really picked up after DS1 and DS2 were old enough to start fighting. I got a feeling I'm stuck with it for a while.
