thanks a lot smurf

A little over a week ago dh decided to leave ds and I. Well he wouldn't answer my calls or his moms so i went to his work and took the car, well good thing i did because i found three needles in it. Well called the cops and they found over thirty seven needles. Dh apparently has a bad heroin problem. He wants nothing to do with me his son, hasnt even asked if hes okay or needs anything, and doesn't care about his unborn child. Im so crushed and don't know what to do. Has my soulmate but im apparently not his. I cant figure out what i did to make him do this. I just wanna stop hurting but can't.

Wow I'm sorry. My brother is a huge meth addict and doesn't give two smurfs about his kids either. He's never even met his 16 year old daughter.

I'm not making excuses for him, but drugs make people do things they wouldn't normally do if sober. He needs help, but first he needs to want to get help.

Let him hit rock bottom and then support him while he gets the help he needs

I'm so sorry! Atleast you found them before LO found them. That's incredibly sad. I hate drugs with a passion.

I have 6 months clean from heroin. I get where he is coming from because the drugs change how you think but I also know what you are saying. He has to hit rock bottom before he will change. Good luck. I hope he can find his way out. Its hard as he'll but worth it.

It isn't your fault. Heroin is quite a bitch and if he is addicted to it then he is not himself. He needs help. But you can force him to get it if it isn't something he wants to do. I'm sorry though. I could only imagine how hard it must be dealing with this.

I'm so sorry hunny! NOTHING you did can make him do this! Its not YOUR FAULT! People do stupid thing and blaming yourself isn't the route to go. It will never be your fault. He has demons of his own to fight right now.

I feel stupid for not knowing been with him for almost ten years and I was too dumb not to know. How can you just not care about your kids or anything? I don't know how to cope and not hurt, even my son is hurting he doesn't understand at all.

And I agree with the other mom, heroin SUCKS. It makes you change. It's just the drugs. He just needs help. Don't take it personal because it's not HIM thinking. I've had wayyyy too much personal expierence with heroin and 100%, he's just not himself while doing it.

I'm sorry. I hope he gets clean and whether you stay together or not I hope he becomes a sober great father
