Introducing Whole Milk?

posted 11th Nov
At our last WIC appointment they suggested we start weaning Zora (11 months) onto whole milk and weaning her off of formula. How do you go about doing this? What's the mixture of whole milk to formula that I should start out with? Should we even start doing it before she's a year? Thanks!

We're doing it over a 6 week period.
DD has 6oz bottles.
So I do 5oz formula 1 oz whole milk for a week.
Then 4 ozs formula and 2 oz whole milk.. And so on.

This is pretty much exactly what we did with our lo, only with breastmilk instead of formula.

My 13 month old hates cow milk so far! It's either boob or water! I've kept her formula going as a back up for now blah

I did half and half for 2 weeks before he turned one. Half milk, half formula. He took to it just fine. Then after his bday I just started giving him whole milk and no formula.

DD didnt like cows milk by itself so I did 4oz formula 2oz milk for two nights, then half and half for two nights, then 2/4 for one night, then plain miilk because we ran out of formula. It was after she turned a year and the Dr cleared her. I wouldnt take any advice from a WIC associate, personally.
DD didnt like how cold it was.
