I was reading somewhere, don't remember where, someone said that if Texas left, OPEC better get used to seeing guys in cowboy boots and ten gallon hats. They have a long coastline, access to tons and tons of oil, and silver up in the panhandle. I really think they would do okay.

I'm mainly preparing for on EMP. I also prep for tornados, which happen here frequently, and a terrorist attack. The base I live next to is on the top ten terrorist target list because it is one of the largest training bases in the US and also home to the Field Artillery and Air Defense Artillery. We are a prime target for the Al Queda smurf heads.

Ya when I lived there that was my number 1 fear! I was always scared about that. My step son worked there but now he is going to Georgia

I am prepping for an EMP also. If not then the economy, but I think an EMP is really likely.
