Because the choice was taken from me. It was produced out of fear, anger, power, etc. Not something I want to be a part of me.

Yup. I feel exactly the same way. I don't care if they want to call me selfish. I couldn't do it.
Obviously I would prefer abortion over anything else in that situation. Hell if I got pregnant right now from SO I would want to abort. But I definitely couldn't do adoption. It would kill me.

Even then though I would literally go crazy unless they went to one of my close family. I literally can not fathom the thought of my children being raised by another person

I was never raped myself thankfully, but from what I've seen/heard from those who have been pregnant from rape; they wouldn't want any part of the rapist inside of them. It would be like psychological torture to be reminded that a piece of him was growing inside you, as some women have described it. It would also be tough to look at a child and not remember how she or he came about, which may lead to resentment. And of course, having such feelings towards the child would be very unfair for the child.

I don't agree with abortion myself, and I see myself keeping the baby in such a scenario. But I could never judge someone who chose to do so because of such reasons. Mainly because I was never raped and have no idea what it's like to be a victim of it.
