re: Cleft lip/palate question

well wen i had mi check up they did it in 2d and are little one doesnt have it and like ya say not an issuse anyway can easyly be sorted but they do check for any abnormalitys in u scans so if they had spotted it they would have informed you and done an another scan at later date if anything was found just to double check so u are aware when u have ur baby xx

I found out at my 20 week ultrasound and they told us right after. I had 5 ultrasounds after that. There's nothing we could do until she was 6 months old. But I breastfeed her up until she was 17 months, never even used a bottle or binky.

Yeah, it does. Kind of flat and wider, it's common for the nose to have a sort of collapsed appearance and need reconstruction also. I'm just wondering how often they miss this type of thing, I went to a specialist for my 20 week due to the other genetic concerns in my family and nothing was mentioned about the lips. This is a 33 week. But we also didn't get great shots of her face in other ultrasounds either, we barely got profile or we got the back of her head all the time
