Takes all the fun away

I asked my son to write down what he wanted for Christmas from Santa.
He looks at me calmly and says "Mommy I know Santa isn't real, I know you and daddy buy me my Christmas presents" I asked who told him Santa wasn't real, again he looks at me and calmly says "Mommy I just know"
REALLY!?!?!? That some fun away!
He's only 4 -_-

I would have convinced him otherwise by telling him that yes we do buy him presents but Santa does, too.

I'm afraid my 4 year old is going to ruin it for all the kids in his class. We've never pretended that there was a Santa, and since his birthday is on the 11th, we just buy a couple really big gifts for both days...I just don't want him to tell everyone else..

I would have convinced him he's real. Google Saint Nicholas and everything.

When my cousin was around that age he did the same, we convinced him he was real by watching polar express and putting a Santa hat that only "glows" if you believe in him (the hat lite up by a button). He's twelve now and still believes in Santa!

i said that to my mom when i was 4 or 5, but in my mind, i was just joking!
i was like "o i don't think there even IS a Santa'
and she was like "o, so you've heard, eh"
and i was like "what?! there is no santa/!?!?" i was devastated

you could probably still convince him you were just joking before when you said there wasn't

I tried everything I could think of to tell him he is real but he says mommy I already know i will keep trying until he believes me lmao

I am 25 and I still believe in Santa.

I still get presents from santa too.

I will let my kids believe as long as they want, but if they come up to me and say he isn't real because of one reason or another. I wouldn't convience them other wise. Why lie to them when they know.

It was fun sneaking around being Santa when I was his age my mom flat out told me their was no Santa and I was sad. I'm going to get him to believe Santa again even if it kills me lol
