When my youngest sister was in kindergarten she stopped believing. Well my dad was a truck driver and always told us when we acted up at home that he spoke on the cb radio with Santa's head elf "Jimmy".
So that year my 8th grade english class recieved letters to santa fron the kindergartners. We had to answer them. So I asked for my sister's letter and wrote about Jimmy the elf! Not only was my sis on her best behaviour for the rest of the time, she totally started believibg again!
I think my parents told me in 2nd grade. And the year we were told wegot to help play santa and we got to know a few gifts the other kids were gettibg!
<blockquote><b>Quoting Mommy of a giggler!:</b>" And that's what "believing in Santa" is, the spirit of it. Think of it this way, I'm not Jewish, ... [snip!] ... they don't believe in Santa and don't get gifts from him. Bet he "believes" if he thinks he won't get gifts from him "</blockquote>
The spirit can still be alive, but we or my family don't celebrate Christmas for Santa. We do it because of birth of Christ. That is us and Santa is just added bonus.
