birth control that does NOT cause weight gain
posted 11th Nov
I'm researching this early. Seems all birth control causes weight gain..
Any of you lost weight on any type of birth control?
I'm asking for birth control the minute the placenta is delivered..lol.
I don't like the idea of mirena. Scares me that out can cause PID.
Which in turn can possibly lead to infertility.
The depo sounds good and the patch, but I'm worried about the weight gain.
Any advice?
What have you been on?

You can try implanon. It's put into your arm instead of your uterus

I think it depends on the person and how they handle the hormones. I've never gained weight on any BC. Maybe try the mini pill since it's low on hormones.

I was on ortho tri cyclen for about 8 years and never had issues, or at least didn't realize if I did. But after LO I tried to get back on it and my hair fell out and I went psycho, like seriously crazy. I tried it for 3 months I think and that was it. After that I've been afraid to try anything else.

I gained weight while on it. Gave me horrible acne too.

I don't believe there is a hormonal bc that wouldn't make you gain. I have Mirena and have yet to gain a single pound. I feel average in the activity department and started losing weight a month after getting Mirena

I was on ortho tri cyclen when I got pregnant with this baby. :/ I'm afraid to try lo or mini pills, because of the real pills don't work, how will the low dose work?
I didn't gain any weight on this pill.
But I want something more permanent, but none of them sound good.
Implanon is out of the question.
Mirena scares the smurf out of me.
I'm going to read on the copper IUD. Isn't that one non hormonal?
I just want to be safe without gaining weight. Lol

Paraguard bc there's no hormones you shouldn't gain at all

I am concerned about infection. PID basically. But I'm willing to try the copper IUD. I'm really nervous about it though.. I don't want to, but I want something extremely effective.
I might read on the nuva.ring a bit. And I'll look up para guard.

In my personal experience, if it doesn't make you gain weight, it makes it nearly impossible to lose it.
