Pissed the smurf off.

So my SO works all day thanksgiving. But we were happy that he would at least get time and a half since it's a holiday. Then he smurfing finds out that he will be off other days that week to make up for getting so much in one day. WTF. Wal-mart is a cheap ass company! Now I'm ever more upset he is working thanksgiving because that check is not even gonna be worth it now.

Welcome to the world of retail. Just wait until he gets his black friday schedule then add about 3 hours to that because you never get out of there on time.

So not cool. My moms job does this to. They say if she doesn't work the day before & the day after then she doesn't get holiday pay

He is gonna work 10-7 thanksgiving and wal mart starting Black Friday at 8 so I' wont be suprised if he has to work even later then 8. Ugh.

retail sucks balls during the holidays. When I was at kmart on thanksgiving day I worked like 3-9pm then a split double on black friday 3am-1pm and 3pm-midnight. It sucked major balls.

I work in a nursing home and we never get paid time and a half for holidays   and also we are forced to work either christmas eve or christmas day. We rotate every year. And if we call out on a holiday we are suspended for 3 days...it sucks.

Yeah they told him if he doesn't show on thanksgiving/christmas. (yeah he is working christmas to.   ) Then he might as well not even come back cause he will be fired.

no smurfing clue i did that smurf for 6 years kmart and circuit city. Plus kmart who wasnt even open xmas day made us still work a 5 hour shift to "clean the store" My sympathy to your husband and your family.
