what OS all in 1 diaper do you like best?

posted 11th Nov
I'm trying to convince my Husband and SIL that we need to cloth diaper at home and use G-diapers when out and about (none of us at least at this point want to mess with cloth while away from home. that might change)

I was going to go and buy a bunch of bum genius. I'm pretty impressed, but I know that every baby is different.

my kids tend to fit and do well in pampers. I know that doesn't give much info and this baby can be the exception, what diapers should we try?
I'd rather not go and buy a bunch of different diapers if I can help it.

I am partial to WAHM's specifically squishy butt I have about 15 of her diapers. I hate gdiapers for so many reasons the biggest is that they are sized so you have to buy new ones instead of just using the OS ones. For brandname i love the BG freetimes and swaddlebees simplex.

once I know what the heck I'm doing and I'm committed to CD, I'll order from Squishy butt absolutely!

At first, I want some easy to get to brand names just to get the feel and see what works for us.

Well, I think we're all a little turned off by the idea of carrying around dirty cloth diapers. I don't mind having to get a bigger size now and then. We will only use it when not at home, so the investment wouldn't be that much. If we were only going to be gone for an hour or two, I wouldn't mind grabbing 2 cloth diapers just in case. My MIL won't be cloth diaper happy and if we go to the park or the zoo, I know I won't be OK w/a days worth of dirty diapers in my diaper bag. Just a personal turn off.

The only TRUE OS all in one diapers I like are BG Elementals, but they are $25 a pop. I haven't tried the freetimes yet, so I cannot give my opinion on them. OH! And Grovia AIOs. Other AIOs I like that are kind of like pockets more than a true AIO is Swaddlebees Simplex and Tots Bots Easy Fits. I also really like Thirsties Duo Diaper AIO, it's a two size system, so size 1 fits from birth to about 18ish pounds while the size 2 fits 12-35 pounds.

We just switched to cloth full time and i put the dirty ones in a wet bag and never notice any smell. I dont put it back in the diaper bag just in the bottom of the stroller and throw everything and the wet bag for the next wash. If you're interested I am selling 3 squishy butts (2 OS and 1 size small in girly prints)

I'm currently unemployed and have no extra cash. Also, IDK what I'm having officially yet. I'll know Dec 18th

my husband is being a total pain in the ass about CD, so unless this baby's buy starts to bleed after dirty diapers, like Piper did, IDK if I'm going to win this fight.

Dont give him a choice just buy a few here and there as you can. My two top selling points was saving money (this was true until i found WAHM's lol) and no running out of diapers and going to the store at 2am.

Do they have to be AIOs? Do you not like pockets?

I REALLY like the flips from bumgenius (or whoever makes them) when you are at home you can use a washable insert, and when on the go they have disposable inserts. It is much more affordable than g-diapers and IMO easier to figure out.
