re: what OS all in 1 diaper do you like best?

Oh, ok. My favorite OS pockets are Rumparooz, AMPs and Alvababy's. Squishy Butt's too but that's a given   I like Sunbaby's alright as well. I have tried a LOT of diaper brands, the list of what I haven't is much shorter than what I have. And the only "name brand" diapers I would spend that kind of money on are Rumparooz and AMPs. My Alvababy's are just as good, IMO.

And actually, I think I may like my Alva's a bit more than AMPs and Rumparooz. Maybe not the AMPS, but for sure the Rumparooz. We get such a good fit with them.

I have tried almost all the big brands of cloth diapers and have narrowed it down to my top 3 favorites
1.babykicks basic pocket diaper w/velcro (OS)
2.Grovia AIO spaps
3.Bumgenius I like the elementals but I also love the free time and pocket diaper.

we are getting sunbaby's they were the best deal for us. I also hit craigslist every now and then just to see if any are on there. I got our first 8 "try and see" BumGenius and I like those as far as over all product I just don't care for the hook and loop because I have an older baby and she can get out of her diaper lol

One thing I cannot do is used diapers. That's just as bad as used underpants or used shoes. That idea grosses me out.

What I think I'll do, is when we go to get everything off our registry at BRU, we'll be using my 1 time 10% coupon. I'll get 1 maybe 2 packs of regular old BG OS pockets and a couple extra inserts. That way, I can try out cloth and see if I really like them. IF I do, and find the cleaning process easy, they work for us, yada yada. Then I slowly start sneaking more and more into our collection, just for me. Once I've snuck 24 into the collection, and I've taught my family or just gotten into the habit, then they won't have a choice. ;-)

If my one or two intro packs don't work for us, then I'm not sure I'll get the opportunity to try other brands.

Thanks for all the advice! I'll save it just in case.

This is why I love Alva baby's. They are only 5-6 bucks a piece so I bought 5 to try out. Shipping is free (it takes like 2 weeks). I have 20ish now and it only cost like 110.

And they are super nice.

Ya, the boring plain colored ones are just under 5 bucks and the designs are like 5.50ish.

and you like them? The price kinda worries me. They look sorta cheap and the pints are rather ugly. Not that print matters when they are cheap and work well. I can always order cute covers if I really wanted something flashy.,

Have you looked through all the prints? I have a lot that I think are really cute but everyone likes different things, haha.

And ya I love them they work really well. They are cheap because they are wholesale directly from China.

They also have really good customer service. Once they lost my order and I thought I was screwed because you can really only contact them through email. But they responded same day, fixed it, and express shipped them for free that day.

are you worried about the chemicals they use in the fabric or the quality.

I'm not overly concerned, I've used a disposables on both my other kids. However, cheap and from china kinda makes me wonder what the heck their using. KWIM?

Alva has some super cute prints, where were you looking?!?! And I second Alva's. Like I said, I have bought a lot of the pricey diapers, and Alva's are one of my first grabs. And thing to remember is, a lot of diapers are made in China. Chances are, some of the "cheapie" diapers are actually manufactured in the same plants as name brand diapers. "American" companies contract out to China for manufacturing, they send their design, which prints they want used, and are then charged most likely the same price as a new "chinese cheapie" then the "American" company supplies to retailers to sell, if all of that makes any sense lol. http://www.alvababy.com/ Ther eare so many prints, the "series" aren't any different as far as style, unless you are looking at the color snap diapers or the bamboo. And even the bamboo isn't any different except it's made with bamboo inner.

I'm not sure what ones I was looking at, they were meh. not ugly, but not super adorable.

Ok. I'm glad you guys let me know about these. I think I'll buy 6 and try to CD part time at first to see how we like CD. If we like it and these work, I'll order more.

Chemicals, no not really because you have to strip them when you buy them anyway and also, most everything we use is made in China anyway.
