So Ill be 40 weeks tomorrow and I am
Having really bad cramps like period cramps on steroids they are lasting about a minute and hurt really bad could I be in labor the hospital us 30 min away and I know my boy friend will be mad if we go all the way up there and I'm not in labor please help

Ok so theyre lasting for an entire minute, how far apart are they coming? And how long have you been having them? Try drinking some water and resting, if they continue you need to go in

general rule of thumb contractions 5 minutes apart last for a minute or longer for an hour. If you are in that ballpark call your doctor.

I think he would probably freak out a little more if you ended up delivering on your living room floor. Call you doctor and see what they want you to do.

This is is about how mine felt they lasted a min and where about 7-10 min apart to begin with they stuck like that almost all day good luck momma!!!! I hope this is it for ya!!!

My hospital is 30 mins away, and my husband knows damn well, if I say go, we go!

The only thing that will deter me from going at the drop of a hat, is my ER visits cost 150.00 each.

Oh man. That makes me nervous to lose my insurance once I'm done with school and get a job.
My hospital is 30 mins away too and my SO offers to take me in any time I have any pain at all. lol He's a worry wart.

well, that's a regular ER visit. So far, I've not paid for anything out of pocket. I'm just worried if I go in and they send me home, they'll charge me.
My husband has the best insurance in the state.

I voted for Obama so hopefully, in the sorta near future we'll be getting closer to universal healthcare. Until then, ya just gotta do with what you have.
My daughter had stitches in July and I still can't afford the 150.00 co-pay.
