Jesus.. any 3 year old left unattended while mom's asleep would get into something.. they're 3. My kids did this for a while before I decided to take action and make a more strict routine for myself, getting up before them and going to sleep when they're fully knocked out. But the times when they did get into stuff, and I mean it got bad (there's still acrylic paint permanently on my wall in huge spots), I wouldn't punish them for it.. they're supposed to get into smurf, especially when no one is around.

I dont trust downstairs. I understand what youre saying by baby proof it though. She can climb over gates and stuff. Its just hard with her room being all the way down there.

YES, My kids act way better that these kids now-a-days. There is a difference between a spanking and a beating  SO, don't judge. My kids get the world from us and are well cared for. POOR KIDS..to the kids who think the world owes then something...and when they move out from home..life kicks their ass....

i know its just they have their weird rules that I have to go by or I have to leave. I have no where at all to go.

Then like I said twice, you have to make a more strict routine for yourself. Your 3 year old isn't going to change her preferences and 3 year old ways and schedule because she's able to get out of her room now.. You have to sleep only when you know she's sleeping and wake up before she does, that's the only solution. Either that or make room in your bedroom and move her in there with you, I wouldn't feel comfortable with my 3 year old being alone on a separate floor of the house with basically free reign.

I know I should of tried with the bed a long time ago but I didnt. Dont wannna sound rude but my daughter can be very diffucult. since shes been sleeping so good in her crib I was putting off doing the bed thing until last minute. .

I mean I guess I suppose I can put a gate to go buy her door. She can climb over it but maybe shell get the hint. I would have to do something to all the doors bc I dont trust her crawling up 17 stairs alone. Im just worried about her roaming downstairs alone at night. Also her room is next to the bathroom and the door is broken on it. I dont have the money nor am I allowed to do anything in the house. My gma who is handicap stays downstairs so it makes things more difficult

LOL.....My kids do not get into smurf hardly ever....WHY???? Because they know if they do, they can or will get a spanking. I always exhaust all options first. I don't just spank for everything. However, I have zero tolerance for them putting themselves or anybody else in danger. It is funny because you all say "poor kids" and all this stuff but my house is not child proofed and my kids don't get into a damn thing..... Yes, I go to bed after my kids and i am the first up. But if they sneak...That shows me they are smart enough to know what they are doing is wrong and they know what to do, to keep from getting caught...there for, are punished according to how I see fit.

To the female who posted the topic...It doesn't matter what your family wants..She is your daughter, so you do what you feel is best.

Maybe you could start placing her in the big girl bed once she's knocked out? or even at nap times, if she still naps that is...

I have which is weird. I can move her from the crib to a bed once shes asleep. But not vise versa lol. Also I made her bed super comfy. She hates blankets so I dont put one one her. Idc thats her choice. Once she finally finally does fall asleep in a bed she wakes up all the time and gets up practically before the sun is up. In her crib for the most part shes been sleeping like a rock.

We got an alarm for DS's door. The one part is hooked to his door and goes off if the door gets opened, the other plugs into the wall. It was only like $15 at Lowe's.

No, they are not scared of me . They respect me and i respect them. My job is to be their mother and raise them...The moms now-a-days think they should be their child's best friend and then wonder why their child always get into smurf...... I hope your kids are not anything like you. You are rude and quick to judge. I don't knock what you do so please so a little more respect and don't knock me...
