twins at 8.1 weeks

I went to my 1st doctor apt yesterday with my second pregnancy and since i was to early for the doppler to hear the heart beat he gave me a quick ultra sound non-vaginal. Well 5 min go by and finally i had the nerve to ask if everything was ok and he said well here is baby A and here is baby B. WOW!!!!! well anyway he got a good heart beat from baby A and we really couldnt get on from baby B. I didnt have a full bladder and he did a external ultra sound at 8 weeks. Could it be that the baby is a hidden and all the other factors to why we didnt get a heartbeat??? He schedule a follow up ultra sound for tuesday but my mind is going 10000000 miles per min. has anyone has this happen and come to find baby B (or whatever baby) was perfectly fine just hidden and it was a little to soon?????

my friend found out she was having twins, and they sent her for a better ultrasound, and they found another baby. so she is having triplets   good luck

Honestly.. I think they would have seen a heartbeat. When I had an external at 8 weeks, it was nearly instantaneous that we saw the flicker.

I hope I'm wrong.

sadly i think they would have heard it but also baby 2 could have been hiding at the perfect angle and the doc couldnt get it they should have done a vag U/S

and she already has 2 kids  

im sure thats what they will do on tuesday... he just said there are a lot of factors right now empty bladder early ultra sound baby could be hidden but he did also say could be vanishing twin... wont know till tuesday its cosuming my every thought

i hope everything is ok for you!

im sure everything will be ok I had my ultrasound at 9.5 weeks and they had to do an internal because they got nothing on the external. I now have a healthy happy 8 month old!   positive thoughts mama  

I had twins at my 6 week u/s and one was measuring 5 weeks so I had to go back and see if baby b grew but unfortunately he didn't. There was no yolk sac or fetal pole. Did he see either of those on the baby?
