blood in stool.

posted 10th Nov
i have problems having bowel movements, i won't go for days and then when i do finally go it's always hard stools. i had a bowel movement earlier and when i wiped there was bright red blood on the toilet paper and in the toilet. should i be concerned? i have no abdominal pain or anything like that.. i'm just paranoid because cancer runs in the family and i know it's a sign of colon cancer..

It's most likely hemorrhoids, or you tore when you were making your bowel movement, normal but gross. : /

It's probably from hard stools. But, considering you only go every few days, you should go get it checked out. Your Colon is not working as well as it should be. A healthy digestive system is 3 BM's a day.

i eat so much cheese ! that's going to be a hard one, lol. i eat cheese probably at least once a day. if it's not on a sandwich or something, i usually eat a string cheese for a late night snack.

i thought bright red blood was more a sign of an outside tear/injury. darl blood is bad, i thought. i'd eat more fiber.

Yep. I learned it all when my MIL had to have her Colon removed.

i don't notice any hemmroids or anything though so i'm confused. i am a little uncomfortable right now but the only time i'm uncomfortable is after a BM.
