How bad is it..

posted 10th Nov
So I went to my OB on Friday and my pressure was elevated 140/100, and they sent me down to a hospital an hr and a half away to be monitored for the second time in two weeks. Pressure is okay definitely lower here, but they did a urine sample and the technician said I had +1 protein in urine..how bad is this? I'm 35 weeks 1 day and i'm hoping to keep her longer if possible..delievery was mentioned as a possibility when I was admitted but I was hoping since pressures were okay I would be fine..

I personally don't know but don't be afraid to ask your nurses. They can't keep info from you as it's your body and your health.

Sounds like PIH (pregnancy induced hypertension, i had this) and it can escalate into pre-e quickly. I delivered my daughter at 37 weeks because of it.

It was a little different situation with my son I just had pre-term labor but i got the steroid shots and he was a 35 weeker. He's healthy.

Good luck momma!

I've been in your situation, both ways! I went into preterm with my son at 33 weeks and thats when I got the steroid shots. After two weeks of non stop - stopping labor 35 weeks he was just ready and we couldn't stop it.

The high BP is scary. My daughter was breech so I was going to have a c-section if she didn't flip and I had just found out the week before. All of a sudden I'm hospitalized with high BP and a few hours later having a baby.

I hope all is well and you and baby are healthy no matter what!
