so sick. nurses? docs? anyone?

So ever since I've had DD my hips would ache occasionally. But over the last month they have gotten pretty bad. Just last week I started aching in my knees, ankles, elbows, wrists. And now in my back an neck. Thursday I made an appointment and saw a doc they think it could be lymes. Didn't think it could be the flu. ( I know symptoms are very similar) I also have had a cough for about a month now too. My temp was 100.2 they sent me for a bunch of blood work. Told me to rest and take alot of advil. Later that night I was really starting to hurt burn up and coughing. Yesterday I had a fever all day it even went up to 104.2 I iced my neck and it came down to 99.9. During the night I woke up freezing and then sweating with temps between 102.4-103.2 this morning my temp was 99.5 and I felt much better. Still have a bad cough and now I can barely talk. I continued to take advil. It got up to 100 or so this after noon. And now its back up to 102. I'm freezing.



Any ideas ladies. I feel like I'm dying.

Thursday morning I found out at the doc. I didn't even know BC I was just in so much pain. Maybe I've had it for much longer....?

No. But I am on mirena. And all I hear is bad stuff about that.

No. I just feel so miserable if I am like this tomorrow I am going to the hospital.

It could very well be your mirena are you having any cramps like period cramps?

No, no cramps. What is endometritis?

infection of the uterus.. I was thinking maybe perforation of your uterus cuz of the mirena but if you aren't cramping I doubt that could be it... I would def. just go in especially if you are hitting 104 degree temps

The symptoms do sound a lot like Lyme disease actually...your bloodwork will tell and if it comes back positive, they'll do another one. If you do have Lyme disease, they'll treat you with antibiotics and your symptoms should subside. My grandfather was diagnosed with Lyme disease a few months ago and he's completely fine now.

My fiance now has a fever as well. I'm guessing it may be the flu? Although my doc was pretty sure it wasn't. Maybe parvovirus? Idk anymore :-(

Could be. The cough isn't really consistent with Lyme disease, I don't think, but the joint aches definitely are. If your fiance has a fever too I guess it's more likely something contagious...

Call Dr. House?  

In the meantime, take some ibuprofen or tylenol, send DD off to your parents' house, and get plenty of rest and fluids.
