I agree with this.

I had no idea the ER handled something like that....that's a huge relief! I'll go ahead and take her in. I don't get off work for a few hours but I am going to try and get off work now. I feel so uneasy and worried...and guilty. I'm worried about what they will say...but will feel better about it.

Good luck. I had dd evaluated, for something simular, with her it was just compulsive behavior, but the the thoughts of saying and doing things like setting the house on fire etc...were scary, she grew out of it with therapy, she is 10 now and fine. So good luck.

They can help with getting into a counselor. If they believe she is a threat to herself or others they probably will put her into an inpatient facility though. But you are doing the best thing for her

I would take her to the ER and tell them look shes hearing voices that are tellin her to stab herself and many other things. She needs to be evaluated.

my oldest brother was like that the doctors told my parents he is a paranoid skitzo and he had to take medicines cause of it

I called her Pediatricians office and the dr said to take her to the Children's hospital. I work right by it...so I am waiting for my SO to bring her up here and I'll leave work and meet them there. They are about an hour away. I am so scared.

Dont be scared. Calm down. I know its hard and a tough thing to think of. But it will be ok. She will be fine. In most cases its nothing or its a compulsion issue and nothing more.
They will completely help you out and dont be scared to ask any questions or hold anything from them they have seen and heard it all.

Thank you! She wrote a little note to my mom today also asking for help from the voices. So I also have that to show them. I'll keep ya'll updated. Thanks again for all the advice!

You could always take her to the ER and they can give her a psych eval. But that might be traumatizing for her. But if you're that worried immediately do it. It's not something to be taken lightly. I am so sorry mama. That's hard. *hugs* if not call her pedi Monday morning and maybe a child psychiatrist.
