bronchitus?

I'm going to see if I can get into a dr on Monday. but at the beginning of this week I was at a friends house and she has a 9 month old I was playing with him and he is teething and was drooling everywhere.. well I guess he has been sick. today I woke up with a terrible cough.. its mainly a dry cough but sometimes it does produce some phlegm.Its very forceful and once I start I have a hard time stopping. I talked to my friend today and as Im coughing she mentioned that she hoped I didn't didn't catch bronchitis from her ds, he has had a cough for almost 2 weeks and she had taken him to the dr a couple times and they kept saying it was a cold and yesterday they said it was bronchitis and put him on antibiotics. So if I do have it, what would they do for me while being pregnant.. put me on antibiotics? is there anything I can do at home to help?

lysol ur whole house to keep germs down.. vit c is ok to take and will help fight it.. make an appt with ur dr cuz they may want to put u on an antibiotic, there r safe ones for pregnancy.. take a steamy shower it will help clear up some of the drainage.. hope u feel better soon, ive been dealing with the same thing for a week now and now SO got it from me.. do watever u can to keep from spreading it or u will never get rid of it

Yes they will put you on antibiotics and probably give you an inhaler. Until you can get to the dr take lots of hot steamy showers.

oh this sounds like fun   good thing Im kid free today and was planning on doing some deep cleaning anyway!! I probably won't be able to get into my mid wife but I should be able to see my family dr monday. she is usually able to squeeze me in when needed

They will put you on antibiotics if they determine it's bronchitis. But there is a whole lot of viral stuff going around right now though, and if it's a cold, there's not much they can do for you.
