1 year anniversary

My SO and I have our 1 year anniversary on Monday. He's not that into celebrating it but I am like all excited and want to go out as a family with our son. What did you do for 1st anniversaries? Or were they not a big deal? Do you celebrate every year or just the "big" 5 year, 10 year, etc ones?

N'awhh   that's cute   Mine feels like forever too! Even though mines only been a year :') so much has happened and changed it's unreal

We aren't married either

We went eat out somewhere for our one year anniversary.
We just made 3 years in May. I don't think we really did anything because we were in a financial bind, but we probably had gone eat out at a restaurant and brought our son with us.

I'd be happy with just that! My SO works that night so I don't think going out is an option :/ and the next 2 days he works so we can't celebrate early. I'd be happy with a single rose or a card just to acknowledge our anniversary. I just had our son 2 weeks ago and I look horrid so I'm all down and it would mean a lot to me if he wanted to celebrate it

1st-2nd we weren't married or had kids lol but we still celebrated by a dinner, card and/or small gift. 3rd we still celebrated with a dinner, card (still no kids) (got married a month before the dating anniv) 4th-8th married, kids, still celebrate our dating anniv. a month after our wedding anniv. We kinda combine it all bc my bday is a few wks after the wedding anniv but a wk before the dating anniv, then his bday is a week after that. Last year- (married 4yrs) we renewed our vows on our dating anniv (the day we wanted for our wedding but couldnt do), this year we went to a rock festival in Atlanta and splurged on a super nice hotel for the night. This upcoming year we'll have another LO so prolly a movie/dinner for a few hours away unless we get a babysitter for the night.

Maybe hint to him about getting take out or him cooking for you? It doesn't have to be on the actually anniversary anyway. I think we celebrated our 3rd year anniversary like a week or two late... I didn't leave the house for like 8 weeks after having our son which kinda worked in some weird way because he was working over 100 hours a week so. I asked a friend to get him on at a different security company. It's less pay, but more time home...

Awww   I'm too scared to leave the baby with someone, even tho it would be nice to have time alone. Maybe Denny's is in order lol

lol we did that one of the first yrs together. nothing wrong with that! acknowledging the day is kinda what's "important" I guess. Hubby tries to buy a thing of roses or daisies and a card. I usually set an alarm on my phone for midnight to tell him happy anniv. first.

I flat out told him its important to me lol he's only had one other long term relationship and it wasnt that pleasant so I don't think he really knows how anniversaries work lol

Nov 10th is my anniversary too! We did nothing

Same here. I just snuggled my LO all day
