What's wrong with two consenting adults having a relationship? Age is just a number and many, many couples prove that everyday. There is even a whole subculture associated with age gap relationships.

Or, is it just because it isn't the norm? Are you creeped out by lesbians and gays? Interracial couples?

Wow...I have no problem with peoples sexual orientation or race...Someone who is over 27 and is dating a 18 year old is scary and wrong in my book. I would NEVER want my daughter to date someone so much older at such a young age. If she was in highschool or something that would be a HUGE problem.

I don't see a problem with it in most cases. I did know a girl in hs that started dating a man in his late 40s when she was 16. To me, that's disgusting on his part.

What's the big problem with two consenting adults in a relationship is what I'm asking? It's a subculture of sexual preference just like interracial dating and homosexuality. It has no bearing on you or your relationships. It is just two consenting adults that love eachother and love having sex with eachother.

18 and 27 is no big deal. My first boyfriend out of high school was 36 and I was 18. Some women like older men and some older men like younger women. I honestly would now never consider dating a man that was less than 45 years old because that is what I prefer mentally, emotionally, and sexually. I am 26 years old and am not attracted to men that are younger than 40.

If the girl is older than 21 than it isn't as big of a deal. But 18 I mean the kid just got out of school that is so creepy and wrong. You're brain isn't able to process formal operational thinking and abstract reasoning until 21/22. So that is taking advantage to me.

Not to mention lots of guys who start of dating someone so much younger are more likely to end up leaving them for younger girls. ephebophilia

18 is the legal age of consent and just because someone likes 18 year old girls does not mean they are going to go any younger than that. You are able to sign contracts, join the military, and smoke cigarettes at 18, so why do you not think you would be able to rationally have sex with anyone you want at that age?

I think older men are hot! Why should I not date or have sex with someone just because you find it creepy? And none of the men I enjoy are pedophiles. In fact I ususally seek them out. But what ever.
