Stupid Pre Labor

Im 38w-3D. 5cm dilated 70 percent effaced. babys minus 1 to zero station. I get at least 3-4 Braxton hicks per hour. I hate thir waiting game. I just wish baby would signal my brain LETS GO! This sucks so bad that my body is ready.....But babys jus chillin. I think ima go crazy.

Only orgasm from sex and semen can help the body progress as walking helps baby engage. But nothing I can do will make active labor contractions commence. the baby sends chemicals to my brain to start labor. I wish it worked tho.

all i know is 3cm, the next day i had sex and went for a walk and he came that night. must have been fluke. idk.

I was so hopeful 2 days ago tho, my FIL took us to the casino and I was getting tons of contractions. Walking the entire place. Went to triage because they were 5 mins apart. And they stopped. I blame sex from that morning irritating my cervix.

Actually, nipple stimulation causes your body to release oxytocin, which is the hormone that causes contractions. I've read that it takes a LOT, but it can work. The baby doesn't send chemicals to your brain, your gland release hormones...

Be at peace with WHERE you are at this very moment with your labor. Lay down, take some deep breathes, & gently massage your belly till you fall asleep. It all depends on the situation. Active labor is productive intensifying contrations and continual dilation and effacement. I wish I could go like you did. Ive been rocking side to side all mornin only gettimg fake contractions. frustrating.....

what can cause that gland to release hormones?

Oxytocin is released by your pituitary gland...like I said, it can be released from nipple stimulation, as it is responsible for the milk let-down reflex. Otherwise, there are many theories, but nobody really knows for sure what triggers labor to begin.

they wont break your water for you even though you're 5cm?! thats insane.

She's only 38 weeks...if they break it now and her labor doesn't progress, she'll end up having to get an induction.

They broke mine with my daughter. I didn't mind it. I mean, it has to happen to have the baby, lol.

I'm getting my membranes stripped and probably my water broke on Wednesday. I'm stoked.
