Back child support

Lately its been getting hard financially and ive been looking for a way to get some cash.Well my dad just got out of prison ( in for 2 years)and has never payed me one dime in child support. He has always worked under the table and never payed taxes and always reported that he dosent have a job. The more i think of it the more it pisses me off! He lives an extremely comfy life while my little family struggles to get by! He even collects foodstamps! Can i file for back child support or does my mom have to file and what will happen if he ends up saying he still dosent have a job? Will i ever see that money?

He was suppose to pay your mom not you. That be something your mom would need to look into. Depends on the statutes of limitations in your state since you're over 18.

My mom already said she would give me the money if we ever got anything from him

That's fine and dandy. I was clarifying that it was incorrect when you said he never paid you.

your mom will have to go to court for it. as long as its owed he has to pay.

depends if the states does back child support..California doesnt anymore..

so if a parent misses a few months they are not responsible for it? or is it just after the child turns 18?

Oh no they are responsible for that..Let me re -word it lol..Say I have a 4 year child and and I decided to finally got file for child support. They no longer go back the 4 years.

oh ok. Pa doesn't do it either. they only go back to the date you 1st filed.

how can he have a comfy life on foods stamps, a single male can't make much money to get them??

he works under the table! so to them it seems like he doesnt have a job
