Bronchitis at 37 weeks

I saw my OB yesterday...and she got pissed at my sister. My sister dropped off her two oldest babies a week ago, because my parents wanted the babies. She failed to mention however that they were both sick. Not a little sick...like my nephew had fevers even when he had Tylenol and ibuprofen   I felt so bad for my little man!
My parents had to go help my grandpa with some financial things, so I was babysitting Bo and Beth...and the next day I couldn't breathe.
I've been sick for a week...and now I have to take friggin antibiotics because my sister couldn't be responsible and tell us her children were sick. I can't blow my nose without getting a bloody nose, I can't cough without peeing myself, my head is killing me, I haven't been able to sleep...and I can't breathe through my nose. I'm in HELL! lol

I don't see why your OB would get mad at your sister. I'm sure it was obvious the kids were sick, you decided to baby sit them. My nephew is 5 and has gotten me sick with bronchitis 3 times during my 32 weeks of being pregnant......I don't blame him or my sister for it. I chose to be around him, I'm prone to getting bronchitis. Antibiotics, that sent me to labor and delivery for contractions, benadryl and robitussin dm did the trick for me.

It takes more than 24 hrs to get sick so most likely you got it from elsewhere. I don't get why nobody understands that.

I had bronchitis when I was 37 weeks and when I get it I cough for at least a month. I went into labor still having it and ended up not pushing but coughing my first out. Two coughs and my first born was out. It's not all that bad....

She got mad at my sister because my sister didn't mention they were sick, she didn't mention that there was a bug in their house...until my sister was half way home and texted my boyfriend saying "oh, btw...the babies could b sick. There's been a bug in our house." She's kind of thoughtless and didn't care to mention it until it was too late to tell her we couldn't watch them.
I don't blame my nephew or his mom for me getting sick...I blame his mom for not being responsible and telling us there was a bug in her house until after she already dropped the kids off. They had no symptoms until the next morning...when my nephew had a high fever and couldn't stop coughing. I didn't get to choose to babysit when I did...I was the only one home and my parents couldn't take them to my grandpa's house.
I have a crappy immune system so I wasn't going to be able to avoid getting this. And benadryl and Robitussin dm hasn't done anything for me in the week I've been taking it. That's why she prescribed antibiotics.

This! It usually takes 48 hrs. So you most definitely got sick from someone else.

It was longer than 24 hours...they were here for almost 2 days before I got sick...the day they arrived and the day I babysat. I got sick the next day.
And I haven't been out of the house, no one else have, no one else has been sick...they're the only ones who were "new" and had a virus attached to them.

So nobody's been to the store? Nobody's been out in public at all? Nobody has gone to get gas or to work or anything at all? yea why don't I believe that?

Since my parents, brother and boyfriend are unemployed...no. Nobody has gone to the store, nobody went to work, got gas, left the house at all. I'm poor folk. My parents get money from my dad being a disabled vet, but that's goes to bills before anything else...and then there's nothing left for spending pointlessly. I get money for being a college student from the VA...but my classes are online. You don't have to believe it for it to be true.

So then what do yall do for food? I meanit can take UP TO A WEEK to get a virus. Your OB sounds stupid for blaming people. I mean did you go to the OB the week before that? anytime you go to a dr's office you can get sick. anytime you go anywhere just even outside you can get sick.

We got food a couple weeks ago with my food stamps...we get a lot of non-perishables since we don't have a lot of money to spend on food. I missed my OB appointment before that because I overslept, and when the only people I've come into contact with who was sick was my sister's family it's pretty safe to bet I got it from them. I don't leave my house...I go weeks at a time without leaving. I've done that since I was little. That's nothing new

I think that regardless of where she got it from, it was still inconsiderate of the sister. If she wasn't sick this week then she could just as easily be sick next week from them. Sure you can pick up viruses/bacteria pretty much anywhere, but that doesn't mean you should knowingly expose yourself to it. Really, do you have nothing better to do than nit-pick? Did you seriously just ask how she buys food?

That said, you probably shouldn't have agreed to babysit the LOs knowing they were sick.

I didn't have a choice on babysitting them...my parents needed to help out my grandpa, and I was the only person who could baby sit :/
