Baby cough.

Can I give my baby cough medicine or cold medicine. His cough is breaking my heart.

I know here they dont sell kids cough medicine or make any for any child under 6 yrs of age. So we cant, unless a Dr ok's it for children over 2 I think, to just sue a smaller dosage, That what my Dr does for my 4 yr old, gave us a save dosage for her (from the 6-12) stuff.


If they make it I dont see why not. But if not then no. How old?

It looks like in the states they dont make it for kids that young either. So in that case no. But you can always call and ask the pedi or family Dr on what you can give lo for a cough, sometimes they need anitibiodics if its more then just a cold cough.

No. But it really goes by weight. not age, talk to your pedi. There is a hylands natural cough and cold that is ok to give them 1/4-1/2 teaspoon depending on weight. BUT talk to your pedi first. Baby vicks on the chest and feet work wonders!
