oh wow, i thought taht was a big no no. and why alot of african babies got HIV? idk ive never really studied HIV, the only little bit i did was why Medical MJ was good for patients with AIDS..

i guess BM doesnt carry the virus? or does the antibodies cancel it out? do you know why its okay now?

there is still a lot of research happening

basically along with the drugs breastfeeding is recommended, though some medical organizations still need to catch up with the science (CDC)

There are so many ethical debates like this... to me, sickle cell is something that I would think would be something more controversal than HIV. So many people can live without much of a problem when they are HIV+ on medications. Sickle cell, however, is a life with a lot of pain and blood transfusions that medications can't really help much.

I would TTC when I was ready. There are so many ways to prevent transferring HIV to a baby.

There are ways to have HIV negative children while being HIV positive. I would look into that route before not having children altogether.

I would adopt. HIV isn't a death sentence anymore. It doesn't have to progress to AIDS.
